Let’s also not forget to mention the expanded world compared to the mobile variant, this is much larger and interactive, and with a decent GPU, is utterly amazing. However it was nice to be able to play with a HOTAS rather than just my fingers. compared to the mobile version, the controls and interface took some getting used to. I first began playing this game a few years ago on Mobile. Hopefully they keep polishing because this can be a ton of fun if you can get past the hiccups. The challenge should be in the puzzle or task, not the UI overhead. Intuitive stuff that mirrors what everyone is already expecting. ![]() Game designers rightfully worry about game mechanics, balance, bugs, graphics, etc…but they never seem to have anyone dedicated to making things easy to use. Like so many games I review, the problem seems focused on UX. But stuff like…how do I turn the plane around if I somehow built it backwards? Why can’t I select more than one part at a time? Or can I? hitting Esc should clear the selected part (like so many CAD/CAM modeling programs) not exit you from the build interface. ![]() I’ve spent a lifetime interested in this stuff, so understanding airfoils, dihedral effects, CoM vs CoL, etc….that’s spot on in this game. The building controls seem like something I’m constantly fighting. Not exactly simple…which isn’t necessarily a bad thing, as designing airplanes that fly right has never been simple.
